SUMMARY

Flynt Management Group is seeking a Head of Technology/Product for our busy and growing Internet business.

 

Flynt Management Group, is a multi-media entertainment conglomerate engaged in a variety of industries, including Publishing (HUSTLER® Magazine, and numerous other magazines); DVD distribution (HUSTLER Video®, VCA® Pictures, HIS® Video); Broadcasting (HUSTLER TV®, a worldwide PPV and VOD network); internet distribution (HUSTLER.com and 60+ other websites); Retail (23 HUSTLER HOLLYWOOD® retail stores); Casinos (Larry Flynt’s Hustler Casino® and Larry Flynt’s Lucky Lady Casino®) in suburban Los Angeles; Product licensing (HUSTLER branded products); and Entertainment Clubs (Larry Flynt’s HUSTLER Clubs® (11 locations worldwide).

 

HUSTLER®, the most powerful brand in adult entertainment in the world, was founded in 1974 by outspoken and world-renowned First Amendment defender Larry Flynt.

 

HEAD OF TECH/PRODUCT

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, be organized, possesses excellent leadership, management and communication skills with eye for details. The Head of Technology must have the ability to work independently on projects and work well under pressure while handling a wide variety of projects. Full transparency and regular, reliable and clear communications between IT and its internal constituents/clients are a key requirement for this role.

 

The responsibilities of the position are divided into core areas of reporting:

 

BUSINESS

The Internet Department

  • Key Systems to manage:
    • Elevated X CMS
    • NATS from Too Much Media (TMM)
    • National Net hosting
  • Key areas of responsibility:
    • Full P&L responsibility
    • Churn rate (membership retention)
    • Digital marketing (e.g., SEO, Affiliate networking, cross organization)
      • Increase membership revenue

 

Hustler Hollywood Stores

  • Key Systems to manage:
    • Shopify Plus
    • MailChimp
  • Key areas of responsibility:
    • Digital Marketing
    • Increase customer visibility
    • Increase average order volume
    • Improve integration
    • Hold internal and external resources accountable for their deliverables
    • Project Management

 

TECH

Head of Technology/Product will become primarily responsible for this area

Tech environment

  • Full Stack PHP environment
  • JIRA & Confluence & Source Control System

 

Information Technology Infrastructure

  • Responsible for the entire company overall infrastructure system (e.g., phone, email, servers, etc.) – Corporate office, Casinos, Broadcasting, Retail
  • Business Continuity Plan
  • IT Compliance and Standards
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be able to perform each essential duty of this position satisfactorily. The below requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to qualify for this position:

  • Ideal work history ranges between 5-7 of leadership
  • STRONG/proven project management skills
  • Digital Marketing experience
  • P & L
  • MBA desired

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Adult content environment
  • Fast paced/high performing work environment
  • Traditional on-site presence (attendance) is a must; no remote work arrangement is available
