Overview

SALARY

$130,000 to $145,000 (DOE)

 

The HRIS (Human Resources Information System) Manager is responsible for implementing  HRIS and payroll software. In addition, the HRIS Manager is responsible for maintaining the HRIS software, collaborating with the Payroll Manager on maintaining the payroll software, and collaborating with the Payroll Manager and IT Department on maintaining the Company’s time-keeping system.

Responsibilities

 

  • Overseeing the daily operation of HR Information Systems
  • Ensure smooth functioning of HRIS platforms.
  • Manage file feeds from healthcare vendors and 401 (k) platforms.
  • Work with benefit broker and other Company partners to ensure smooth transition of data from one platform to another.
  • Experience with implementation of other HRIS and Payroll platforms.
  • Serve as Project Manager/Lead, Education and Change Management Resource, System Administrator, and Technical Resource for implementation of UKG-Pro, including UKG Pro Pay and People Center, UKG Pro Talent Acquisition, UKG Pro Benefits Administration, Income & Employment Verification with Equifax, Great Place to Work, and UKG Pro Employee Pay.
  • Understanding of and advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now,
  • If there’s a move from ADP to UKG, Responsible for escalation and resolution of all issues related to the implementation and maintenance of the software, including upgrades.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation, maintenance, operation, and optimization of the Company’s HRIS and payroll system to meet the needs of the Company and its employees.
  • Serve as lead representative and liaison between the Company, UKG and other external vendors, and other stakeholders for all HR/Payroll database design and implementation projects.
  • Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, application operational efficiency, and enhanced security.
  • Conduct and participate in the analysis of workflows and design of functionality and/or improvements to systems, ensuring both process and system requirements are fully identified, evaluated, tested, and implemented.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues and work with others (e.g., IT, HR partners, Accounting, and vendors) as needed to resolution.
  • Responsible for people data analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring systems are optimized to reduce manual reporting.
  • Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for system users.
  • Work cross-functionally to understand business needs and provide actionable insights to meet employee and business needs.
  • Work closely with other HR team members, Payroll, Profit-Sharing, and IT, as applicable, to ensure accuracy of benefits deductions, status changes, compensation, payroll, and time/attendance related issues.
  • Develop and maintain end-user procedures, guidelines, and workflow documentation.
  • Work with leadership to ensure timely implementation and delivery of new functionality and enhancements.
  • Work with stakeholders to create, update and oversee processes and workflows for HRIS system and implement timely updates as changes occur.
  • Develop and deliver training to employees on system and procedure modifications.
  • Recommend procurement of appropriate hardware and software to ensure that the organization has high quality, efficient systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of HRIS process/system improvement experience (UKG preferred); 3+ years of experience managing HRIS implementations/enhancements required.
  • 3+ years HR experience in a management role required.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for measuring results through data and metrics.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent report-writing skills.
  • Proficient with Business Intelligence.
  • Proficient with Excel.
  • Experience handling sensitive, confidential organizational, department, and performance information.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Familiar with the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended.

  • Job requires ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Job requires ability to lift and carry items up to 20 lbs.
