    LFP Broadcasting, a worldwide VOD and PPV broadcasting network, is searching for a Staff Accountant at our broadcasting headquarters in Boulder, CO.

    Hours – 8am-5pm, M-F

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Prepare month-end and recurring journal entries.
    • Investigate and resolve unusual variances in financial results.
    • Ensure proper accounting in accordance with GAAP.
    • Prepare standardized daily reports
    • Run and balance a G/L, Trial Balance and Open Aging Report (A/P & A/R) at the end of every month.
    • Investigate and resolve unusual invoices and manager and executive inquiries. 

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • 2 to 3 years progressive experience in general ledger accounting, with knowledge of GAAP.
    • Computer savvy and literate: advanced Excel required; JD Edwards/Acumatica (or other ERP system) highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated experience with monthly close and financial analysis.
    • Ability to manage multiple demands in a professional manner.
    • Strong interpersonal/communication skills and work ethic required.
    • Team-oriented personality and working style but able to work independently.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.                           

    EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience.

    • Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly.
    • Ability to examine issues both strategically and tactically.
    • Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision. Self-starter is a plus!  
    • This position requires the ability to problem solve complex situations in an effective and efficient manner.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Must have ability to safely lift minimum of 25 lbs. without restrictions.
    • Requires many hours of working in front of a computer for extended periods.
    • Visual acuity (6-8 hours viewing computer).
    • Requires ability to perform repetitive motions.
    • Maintain stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines with attention to detail.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
    • Work is generally performed within an office environment, which includes the use of standard office equipment.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • 90% of day spent sitting in front of a computer.
    • Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions.
    • 24-hour operation with a very fast paced environment.
    • Adult content environment.
